Danny and Melanie met when they both worked for KPMG.

Melanie took a new job with Leidos in Fall 2019. After not seeing one another for a few months, they discussed catching up and agreed to plan to meet up in mid-March.

By that time, the world had begun to lock down at the onset of the pandemic. Instead of postponing their plans, they defied quarantine orders (Shhh!!! Don't tell anyone!) and hung out with one another at Danny's apartment. They spent the whole night listening to music, talking, and laughing. It was so much fun that they made plans again for the following week, this time at Melanie's place where Danny walked over with Detroit-style pizza to share. The good times rolled on from there as they officially started dating in May 2020.

Just over three years later (and many COVID cases later), Danny got down on one knee and proposed to Melanie in their apartment on her birthday weekend. They went out on the town to celebrate with cocktails and a fancy dinner, and continued the celebration the rest of the weekend with friends and family.

They have been feverishly planning for this special day ever since.
